There are two types of adults on New Year’s Eve…those with young children and those without young children. I’m sure you can guess which camp I’m in. Regardless of the fact that I have a young child, I still want to have a fun New Year’s Eve that’s memorable for my daughter so I created this fun New Year’s Eve Noise Maker Craft for Kids!
Keep reading for a full list of supplies that you’ll need to complete this craft along with step-by-step instructions that will make it quick and easy to put this together with your little ones.

Supply List:
- 4 inch paper plates
- Paint pens or markers
- Curling ribbon
- Paper straws or jumbo popsicle sticks
- Craft pom-poms
- Beans – any small, dry variety
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
- Additional themed craft items, if desired

Assembling the New Year’s Eve Noise Maker Craft:
Decorate the backside of two paper plates in any desired theme/design – with both having a similar/complementary design.
One paper plate will become the front of the New Year’s Eve noisemaker and the second paper plate will be the back.

Glue the straw or popsicle stick to the inside of the backside plate as shown.
If using a straw, flatten the portion that will be glued to the plate to make the final assembly easier. Also be sure to attach it about halfway into the plate for stability.

Place a small number of beans on the plate just above where the handle is glued.
Hot glue an even bead of glue all the way around the outside ring of the plate and carefully place the front plate on top. Slightly press down until the glue has set.
Add curling ribbon, and additional decor (if desired), where the plate and handle meet, to finish the look.

You are now ready to make some noise for the new year with your creative and fun New Year’s Eve Noise Maker! After finishing your noise maker, keep it handy for the New Year’s Eve countdown so that you’re ready to celebrate with your kids when the ball drops!

Super cute…any tips on where to find those cool silver straws in your picture?
