Have some craft rolls on hand or tissue paper rolls laying around? Don’t toss them in the recycling bin yet! Turn them into an adorable piece of art instead with this tissue paper roll snowman craft.
With just a few simple supplies that you have around the house, you’ll be ready to start creating this fun snowman craft. I recommend pulling supplies for two snowmen.
You will create one tissue paper roll snowman craft and your child will watch what you’re doing and repeat on their own craft. This helps them see what to do and encourages them to create one of their own.
Supplies:
- Tissue paper Roll
- Colourful craft papers
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Glue
- Marker Pens
- PDF Template
Instructions:
Step 1:
Use the templates to assemble the pieces.
First, take the long piece of paper for the snowman’s hat and glue it on the top part of the white craft paper that we’ll use for the snowman’s body.
Step 2:
Glue the snowman’s nose below the hat.
Then, glue the buttons beneath the nose. Make sure you leave a little space to draw the snowman’s mouth.
Step 3:
Cut out the pieces for the snowman’s scarf.
Step 4:
Glue the two small pieces like a ‘V’ shape on the middle of the longer piece.
Step 5:
Then glue the scarf onto the snowman.
Step 6:
Use a marker pen to draw the snowman’s mouth.
Step 7:
Glue the white paper around the tissue paper roll.
Allow the glue to dry completely.
Step 8:
Then glue two googly eyes on the snowman.
Step 9:
Cut out the hands for the snowman. Bend the hands diagonally in the middle.
Step 10:
Get the second hat piece.
Step 11:
Glue the hands and the smaller hat piece on the top of the snowman.
Step 12:
Finish it off by glueing the leaves on the snowman’s hat.
You have now transformed your boring old craft and tissue paper rolls into a wonderful snowman!
This tissue paper roll snowman will make a great piece of seasonal decor that your kids can add to the home and feel proud of their work and contributions to the household.
